Dr. Jonghyun Lee is a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Institute of the National Cancer Center in the Republic of Korea. His research interests include single-cell and multi-omics analysis, with a focus on developing computational models for understanding tumor heterogeneity. Heās the backbone of the lab, managing all the data, overseeing the network, and juggling every project. Without him, the lab would probably grind to a haltāheās the guy who keeps everything running like clockwork. Heās so knowledgeable across such a wide range of topics that we sometimes suspect he might secretly be GPT in disguise. With his witty comments and fun facts, he keeps the lab lively and engaging. Oh, and one more thingāheās actually a foreigner, though he might not realize it himself

Dr. Byungjo Lee is a postdoctoral researcher at Research Institute of National Cancer Center in Republic of Korea. His research interests focus on AI-driven drug target discovery. As an AI expert, his arrival brought a fresh and dynamic perspective to the lab. He builds AI models, manages GPUs, and even excels in research administration with his seasoned experience. A fitness enthusiast, heās all about CrossFit and never misses a chance to rally lab members to joināthough his attempts usually fall on deaf ears. Heās also the proud servant of three catsābecause in their eyes, heās definitely not the boss. Fun fact: heās a big fan of Dongguk University.
Juyeon Cho is a post-masterās researcher with a keen interest in cell-cell interactions, variant calling, and all things bioinformatics. As the only lab member with a formal degree in bioinformatics, she holds a unique position. Amazingly, sheās the longest-standing member of the labārumor has it she was here at the cancer center even before the PI! Sheās well-connected with other researchers at the center and often shares valuable inside information.
Word on the street is that she considers her time at the cancer center a "hobby," thanks to her significant influence in both academic and business circles. Oh, and according to the grapevine, she somehow juggles three boyfriends. Talk about multitasking!
Seok-Won Jang is a post-masterās researcher at Research Institute of National Cancer Center in Republic of Korea. He majored in genetic engineering and specialized in microbial genetics during his masterās program. His research interests lie in drug resistance and homeostasis mechanisms, which he explores using bioinformatics and AI.

Ji-hye Lee is the newest addition to our lab, having just joined us in December 2025āso new that the ink on her welcome email is still drying. She will be mainly working on the Korea-France collaborative project, which means she's already operating on an international level before most of us have figured out how to properly say "bonjour."
As a proud extrovert (E on MBTI), Ji-hye has the remarkable ability to become friends with everyone within approximately 0.3 seconds of meeting them. If you're feeling shy, don't worryāshe'll befriend you whether you're ready or not.
We're excited to see what she'll bring to the labāand to the Korea-France project. Bienvenue, Ji-hye!

Mai is a Master's student at the National Cancer Center Graduate School of Cancer Science and Policy in the Republic of Korea. She graduated from Hanoi University of Pharmacy as the valedictorianāyes, you read that right, the top student of her entire university. We're still not entirely sure how we managed to recruit her, but we're not asking questions.
Having joined our lab about a year ago, she's now diving headfirst into the world of bioinformatics. For someone who spent years mastering the art of pharmacy, watching her wrestle with Python scripts and RNA-seq pipelines is both inspiring and occasionally entertaining.Ā
She brings a warm smile and a calm presence to the labāthe kind of energy that makes Monday mornings slightly more bearable. Her secret weapon? An unshakable optimism and the determination of someone who conquered an entire pharmacy school.
Fun fact: she traveled all the way from Vietnam to Korea to learn bioinformatics from scratch. Most people would call that brave. We call it extremely on-brand for a valedictorian.
We're honored to have a future bioinformatics powerhouse in the making. Just give her timeāshe's speedrunning her way to excellence, as usual.Ā
